Counting Down
One month and one day to go until the deadline for articles arrives! Granted, a month is still a long time, and we have had several articles grace the inbox already. You will like what you see come October!
The lineup for editors has changed for this issue and I want to share it with everyone. Expect nothing of the best from these gentlemen!

Here’s to a successful Issue 6!
Sowing Seeds…
…of creativity, of course!
We are now accepting articles for Issue 6 of the Astro Mag. What is this issue’s theme? Why, I’m glad you asked, good sirs and lasses, for Issue 6 is all about the pre-Heresy and the Horus Heresy!
While the fiction, aesthetics and competition are going to be about this infamous era in Games Workshop lore, feel free to submit a modeling, painting or tactics article, even a battle report that isn’t set in the Heresy. If you’re new to the Mag, email your article, with pictures, in a Microsoft Word .doc file to theastromag@gmail.com
The deadline for articles is October 2nd! This will ensure that we can release this issue before October ends.
In other news Kevin (Arkaedin) will be stepping down as Chief Editor with myself (Morgan, AKA Consadine) will be taking his place. Kevin will still be creatively involved with the mag but will be sticking more to a promotional role.
I leave you with an excerpt from one of my favorite pieces of Horus Heresy fiction, The Last Day:
Horus threw his father across the room where he clanged against the bulkhead. The Warmaster stepped toward him, breathing ragged, expression psychotic.
“I will take away your godhood! I will take away your galaxy! I will take away your empire! I will take away your sons! When I have done that, Father, what will you be?”
“A man,” the Emperor whispered.
He focused everything into a lance of bright light. All his pain, all his grief, the despairing rage of a man who has nothing left to lose.
Horus was hit so hard it shocked the very daemons from his soul. In that moment, he knew what he had done, what he had become. He looked the master of mankind in the eye; and then he died.
